What is Autodesk Drive?

Autodesk Drive is a cloud storage solution that allows individuals and small teams to organize, preview, and share any type of design or model data.

You can use Autodesk Drive:

Upload data to your personal cloud drive.

Organize and manage data in folders.

View 2D and 3D designs and models in the browser of any device.

Share the drive with other users to view, edit, upload, and manage data.

Note: Sharing your Drive gives others full access to and editing of all your cloud files and folders.

Access, view, and edit data in a Drive that is already shared with you.

After you install the Desktop Connector, you can also view and organize files stored in Drive from your desktop and desktop applications.

What is a Desktop Connector?

The Desktop Connector is a desktop service that integrates Autodesk data management sources (or data sources) such as Autodesk Drive with your desktop folders and file structures to simplify file management.

The files in the data source are copied to the connected drive. You can manage files in the data source through the connected drive, just like you would manage any other folder on your computer. Changes made in the connected drive are automatically uploaded to the data source.
